ANDERSON, Ind. (June 28, 2015) – Indiana's Aaron Pierce earned an impressive victory in the inaugural King of the Wing Sprint Car Shoot Out event at Anderson (Ind.) Speedway on Sunday, June 28. The Royal Purple 50 was the conclusion of the Midwest Series for the National Sprint Car Series.

Defending Auto Value Bumper to Bumper Super Sprints Champion Jason Blonde led the opening 24 circuits then Pierce made a three-wide move to take the point at the halfway mark. Pierce was able to construct a sizeable lead over Blonde and Gerster. With three laps remaining, Jackson spun bringing out the yellow.

WINCHESTER, Ind. (June 27, 2015) – The King of the Wing Sprint Car Shoot Out event at Winchester (Ind.) Speedway on Saturday, June 27 has been canceled due to rain. Track officials made an attempt for the entire day to dry the half-mile oval, but battled rain and were unable to get the surface in racing condition.

The Midwest Series will conclude at Anderson (Ind.) Speedway on Sunday, June 28.

 


Ryan Litt Wins Midwest Opener at Toledo Inaugural Butch Dowker Memorial Will
Take Place at Spartan Speedway in August


TOLEDO, Ohio (June 26, 2015) Canadian standout Ryan Litt led all 40 laps in King of the Wing Sprint Car Shoot Out event at Toledo (Ohio) Speedway presented by Hemelgarn Racing, Super Fitness and Lakeshore Utility Trailer Sales on Friday, June 26. Litt becomes the second different winner in the opening two King of the Wing Events.

Behind Litt at the conclusion of the event was Brian Gerster, 1.3897 behind the race winner. Derek Snyder filled out the podium finishers. The top five also included Bobby Santos Jr. and Robert Stout. Sixth place went to Brad Wyatt with John Turnbull Jr., Mike Stutzman, Kody Swanson and Aaron Pierce filling out the top 10.  Full Story


CASSOPOLIS, Mich. (June 18, 2015) – Officials from the
Auto Value Bumper-to-Bumper Super Sprints along with Spartan Speedway Officials have announced the August 14 event will be the inaugural Butch Dowker Memorial Race.

Details are still being finalized, but extra bonuses will be part of the Butch Dowker Memorial in August at the quarter-mile oval in Mason, Mich.

The August race marks the first series race at Spartan in almost five years. Curt Shumaker won that feature in September of 2010 with Jeff Bloom and Jim Swain filling out the podium finishers.
