South Bend Motor Speedway to Host Two Events in 2017

CASSOPOLIS, Mich.  (December 5, 2016) – Officials from the Auto Value Bumper to Bumper Super Sprints presented by Royal Purple Synthetic Oil and South Bend (Ind.) Motor Speedway announced today that winged sprint cars will return to the quarter-mile oval twice during the 2017 racing season.

The Auto Value Bumper to Bumper Super Sprints will visit South Bend Motor Speedway on Saturday, June 3 and return on Saturday, July 15

Two previous events have been held at South Bend with Hank Lower winning the inaugural event in June of 2011. The series returned in 2012 with Tanner Swanson taking the feature victory.

The Auto Value Bumper to Bumper Super Sprints concluded their 21st season of racing in 2016. Aaron Pierce captured his second consecutive championship while the tour showcased five winners in seven races.

In the 316 events contested on pavement, Gary Fedewa sits atop the career victory list with 37 checkered flags. Six-time series champion Jason Blonde ranks in second spot at 31 wins with Tom Fedewa (25), Bill Tyler (24) and Jeff Bloom (19) rounding out the top five. Fifty-five drivers have earned at least one feature victory.
