Ryan Gillenwater Wins Fastest Short Track Show

TOLEDO, Ohio  (June 10, 2016) – Ryan Gillenwater earned his first victory in the Auto Value Bumper to Bumper Super Sprints presented by Royal Purple pulling into the winner’s circle at the conclusion of the All American Coach/Hemelgarn Racing/Super Fitness Fastest Short Track Show in World at Toledo Speedway on Friday, June 10.

Five-time series champion Jason Blonde led the opening five laps with Gillenwater taking the lead on the sixth circuit and pacing the final 25 laps of the race. At the checkered flag, Gillenwater finished .324 seconds ahead of defending series champion Aaron Pierce. Bobby Santos Jr. crossed the line in third with Derek Snyder and Jerry Caryer rounding out the top five.

In preliminary action, Pierce and Geoff Kaiser won heat races. Pierce was the Hamilton Trucking Fast Qualifier with a lap of 12.353 seconds at 145.714 mph.
